Judge Rutherford, Jehovah's Communication Channel

this quote from the watchtower concerns the release of judge rutherford's book children in 1941.. now, calling the book "the lord's provided instrument" sounds to me to be saying the book was inspired, just like the books in the bible.. apparently at that time, the jws considered judge rutherford as their direct communication channel with jehovah himself!.

Hmm! are you reading that book? If I remember right there should be a picture of a little girl sitting on a mans lap! It's really strange.

Also, Judge Rutherford in his Book Riches, proves that during assemblies they use to do what they called utterances. They would stand around people and wait for someone to speak in utterances,tongues. Judge Rutherford said that some of the people would come up with some good stuff that they would continue to use. I guess that would be modern day channeling. By that time Russell was probably up in heaven with some other 144,000 channeling information to the living 144,000.

Now, really why would God use that crazy drunk!

Are scriptures missing from the Bible?

i have heard that the bible as we know it today is not in it's entirety.

i feel that this is deceptive and had people argue that the present day bible is how god intended us to read it because that is all we need/ it is presented how he wants us to have it.

i don't buy that and feel that god wouldn't "hide" any of the holy scriptures as men have done.

YOU can trust the Bible as a reliable source on how to guide your life,also Moses had scribes. Some people are not aware of the schools of thoughts when they handed down the oral commandments.

Read the other books for yourself and you will see that they do not compare as trust worthy as the Bible. However, you will read a quote from the Book of Thomas and wonder how did he have this quote from Jesus. Well anyhow, even Jehovah says when reading about the works of the Kings is it not written in the other books? Then you can read in the 2 Kings and realize not all the accounts of the kings are in there, and etc,. However, for us today does it matter? NO because 1 and 2 kings expresses what we need to know! So read the other books as well as the false books. They are fun but I do not take them serious as holy scriptures and although John quotes from the book of Enoch and we can find the book I do not take the book of Enoch as God word and written with Holy Spirit! Recently, someone posted something about Romans 8 those other books just do not hold the love that the bible explains. They lack!

Also, historical writers are making money on these others books but if they go against the bible then it is not by HOLY SPIRT or God WORD when in fact it wrong. Sure they could have some saying of Jesus. Historical theology just wonder why some of the saying in such books are there prior to the writings of the N.T. Take the entire book and not just the a saying that is in these other books and judge for your self. In my view point they are not worth it but just fables with some truths and that is the makings of good fiction writers. They had a lot of time on their hands but I am sure a good fiction writer could have done a better job the some of these other books.

The Mormon book is fiction and does not belong with ANY books of the Bible, and anyone who thinks so suffers from some sort of delusion.

These are just some of the questions that should be asked and when answered correctly you will learn that our Lord was held in Roman custody for six days during passover and nailed up at night around nine PM or on the third hour on a day of preparation, on the day when they were preparing unleavened bread from new grain for that sabbath day that also was the seventh day of Passover.

He was not held in custody for six days during the passover! That goes against the time he Partook! So Bull! He Partook on the first evening of the Passover Feast then that same night they came and arrested him. They could not set up a trial during the evening so they waited. The next day, they set a trial for him. The day after the apostles prepared for Passover! Why would you ever want to think they held him for six day is only in you own thinking. I have never read any theology agree with you! I think you should know better as far as teaching something that goes completely against the bible!

Some one posted that historical writings are against Johns writings or the book of Johns that just blowing more smoke! so it is bull! Historical authors enjoy studying Johns books as much as the majority of people with the same types of questions.

I hope that Jehovah's Witnesses as well as our youth who are exJDUB will consider reading historical views on Jesus! Choose good theological authors, because some are miss guiding and have their own slant and are out to make money. It is an exciting time to read about the Bible the historical facts about Jesus and the authors of the bibles books. Most would not want to take away from their works but just wander why the differences and which one could have copied or if they did copy. I enjoyed reading and have Bart Erhman books. I had to draw my own conclusions as I hope others will.

Leviticus 23:4 " 'These are the LORD's appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times: 5 The LORD's Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. 6 On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD's Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast."

It sounds like the feast of Unleaven Bread begins on the 15th day of Nisan. The 14 day was held to proclaim the appointed times! Mathew 26:17 it states on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread the came to Jesus and asked, Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover? and in 20 when evening came Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve.

Mathew 27:17 "On the first day the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked Where do you want to make preparations for you to eat the Passover."Leviticus 23:5 the Passover begins at twilight on 14 day of the 1st month but on the 15 the feast unleavened bread started.

Mathew 27:1 early in the morning all the chief priest and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death! Nisan 16

Mathew 27:45 "from the six hour until the ninth hour" could be until noon until 3:00p.m.

Mathew 27:62 "The next day one after Preparaton Day, the chief priest and the Pharisees went to Pilate" According to the footnotes in the NIV it states The next day, the one after Preparation Day. Saturday, the Sabbath. Friday was the preparation day for the Sabbath (sunset Friday to Sunset Saturday)

John claims that Jesus died prior to the Sabbath day, a special Passover day. The Fest of Passover was seven days long.

John 19:14 "It was the day of Preparation of Passover Week, about the sixth hour."

How could that be? When the disciples went to Jesus on the day of preparation for the Unleavened Bread? On Nisan 15th because Nisan 14 would be the announcement time.

Unless the disciples went to Jesus on Nisan 14th the next day he was judged on Nisan 15 the first day of Unleavened bread. But Jesus eats on the first day of Unleavened Bread with the twelve and they prepared that day with him so he could have not died on Nisan 14 or 15th. Well maybe the day time was for preparation time and evening time for seven days were the meals! Nevertheless Jesus and the twelve had the Last Supper on Nisan 14 or 15 and it was the next day the day after Preparation that Jesus died! Preparation day was on the same day that Jesus had his Last Supper with the twelve.

I guess I will be studying this until I am blue in the face! Perhaps John was speaking about the Preparation of the Special Passover Sabbath!

One has to ask, were the preparation days seven days long with the evening as the Feast of Unleaven Bread? So I started with Jesus Last Supper as the first even meal so there would have been seven Preparation days and Seven Passover evenings? Still the first one would have been on the 15th!

Yes, every year I think about this date and time, and every year I come up with the same conclusion! That Jesus Last Supper is not a modern day Memorial like the JW express it meanings! For one thing, Jesus did this so that his followers would observe his Last Supper and remember him and his sacrifice prior to his death! So why call it a memorial because J.W. think like this; rememberance=memory=Memorial of Christ death! Not to mention the calendar changes as well as hours!

Evidence of this happening? Yes, everyday women are being murdered by their abusive husbands! Submissive conduct is what gets them killed! Thank you for this post this should make everyone mad! Most people who beat their wives enjoy the thrill of watching their loved shrink down in a submissive corner! so they can just abuse them some more! Did anyone see Oprah Winfrey Show about a women who was beat by her husband and the children filmed it!

Also, the scriptures the WT applies does not fit the subject!

Yeap but the original date that Russell wrote was 1915! so the JW really have been teaching another date! and claiming that Barbour give it to Russell. Although the JDUBs have their Proclaimers Book, their 1914 would be wrong if they are using Russell's writings!

Oompa its kind of strange the person who gave Russell his new light was was considered bad association! Also if you look at the Proclaimers Book I believe most of Russell's friendships all ended the exact same lenght of time. I just wanted to see what a nut he was. I think it is 4 1/2 years each, or 3 1/2 years!
